What happens when you fail a CLEP test? How long do have to you wait till you can take it again? How many times can you keep taking a test?
What about the GRE Subject. Can you retake that to raise your score? Wich score goes to the school?

    Thanks.

    CLEP wait period already answered.

The GRE subject exam can be taken and retaken as many times as you like, and as frequently as the exam schedule allows - no time wait penalty for a fail since in that exam, there is no defined fail.

From memory, prior GRE subject exam scores are not suppressed. That is, all scores you earned in any GRE subject exam will be reported. There is a time limit measured in years, beyond which a score will not be reported, whether you'd like it to be or not.

Note however, those schools awarding credit for the GRE subject exam (COSC, Excelsior, Empire State) will ignore all but the best score in any individual subject. So . . . the fact of mandatory reporting of all results is of no import if the intention is to use the exam to earn college credit. If results are to be submitted in support of application to graduate school, mandatory reporting would matter, of course.

Oh, and while we’re at it, you can selectively suppress any CLEP score you chose when requesting score reports be sent to an institution. CLEP scores are generally not reported after 20 years.
