Hi, I have a 3.16 GPA, and 1910 (460-v, 730-Q, 720-A) on the GRE. I already have an accredited BSEE from a united states institution.

I am now trying to find an online program that will give me a MSEE degree so that I can shave a year off of the requirements to get my PE license. Can anyone help with some advice on programs?

Also, does it have to be an MSEE degree??? - can it be in another disapline, or can it be a technical electrical degree??

I am in missouri so that is where i would like to get the PE license.

Thanks a lot for the help!!

    dynamicrhythm,

First of all, what institute did you earn your B.S in EE? Is it accredited by Regional and ABET? There are many school offers M.S EE online.

Here is Graduate Schools as distance education guide. Technology and Engineering:

    Michigan Technological University
    Northeastern University
    Oklahoma State University
    Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Texas Tech will be one of lowest cost, followed by either Arizona school.

    Greetings.

As you may be aware, the most useful UNOFFICIAL source for FE (EIT) & PE info is the web site for Professional Publications, Inc. (www.ppi2pass.com). PPI is a publisher of FE/PE exam prep material.

Their page on Missouri (http://ppi2pass.com/catalog/servlet/MyPpi_pg_map-mo.html) states, in part, the following:

So you apparently need an ABET accredited MSEE degree if you want to "save a year". Of course, you are a fool if you don't verify this information, and obtain official answers to your other questions, directly from your state board. According to PPI, your state board can be reached by e-mail moapels[preposition]mail.state.mo.us . They also have a web site at http://pr.mo.gov/ .

    Good luck!

    Cordially,
    Richard Kanarek
