Does anyone know what problems were identified by DETC that CCU must correct before they can be accredited?
It has been suggested that since they made significant changes to their programs just a year before consideration they did not have sufficient data concerning student accomplishments under the present program.
That suggestion came from CCU, IIRC. It has also been suggested that DETC deferred accreditation while that pesky matter of inappropriate billing of the federal government gets worked out. Nasty business. That suggestion came from me, prior to DETC's decision. No post hoc spin-doctoring, just a bit of speculation. The event came true (CCU's denial), but we don't really know why.
The results have been posted - at DETC and on here. One school was accredited - At Home Professions in Fort Collins CO - not a degree granting institution. Mary
