I would like to hear from anyone owning or working for a small business that is seeking an MBA to enhance their entrepreneurial skills. What program are you in\looking at ? Why?

I work for a small aggressive private sector company and wish to start my own in the near future. I seek an MBA program that will expose me to like minded individuals that do not want to work for others. AACSB and the like are meaningless to me. Have no desire to teach. The petty politics and bureaucratic nonsense would drive me loco!

Nova Southeastern is listed as a 3rd Tier - Entrepreneurship Emphasis

Does anyone have any experience with the entrepreneur program at Nova Southeastern U or others listed at this site that are DL?

i'm basically in the same boat as you as far as goals go.

just so you know, nova's entrepreneurial mba can't be done through DL. you can take about the first half online then, go to the campus for the final 6 months. nova is thought of really well with former students in the entrepreneurialship program. as you well know, snobbery carries little weight for those who have goals to succeed rather than impress.

i am looking at university of north alabama's new venture management program. the price is right and it is delivered via dvd.

i would be very interested to here of other programs that are simular.

Very well put. I couldn't care less what tier or ranking the school is as long as it is US and RA.

Not sure if the link is still working but read a great article here about a month ago:

    In Part:
My kind of people, spending on helping others rather than showing off.

I'll take a look at the U of NA. Sounds interesting.

    Good luck!

    Just my opinion
