I am looking for a degree program (prefer business) that does not require College Algebra or above. The reason, I hated it in high school and do not wish to relearn it after all of these years. In my career feild I have not needed algebra and not not see a need for it. I am kind of like the tree trimmer to keep going in my career I need a piece of paper.
You might be able to satisfy the "Quantitative and Analytic" general education requirement at Charter Oak by taking something other than college algebra. I must admit, however, that nothing comes to mind when I try to think of an alternative. Tracy Gies <>< http://www.cosc.edu
Something else comes to mind: Might I suggest that you try college algebra? I bet you might find it easier now that you are more mature and motivated to earn a degree. I struggled mightily with algebra in high school, but since then I've tackled college algebra, statistics, and physics with (much to my own suprise)little difficulty. I have found that motivation and maturity have made me a better learner. You might discover the same thing. Tracy Gies <><
I don't know if there are any business degree programs that don't require College Algebra, but you could take Statistics(which many people find easy) to satisfy your math requirement at Charter Oak(probably not for business, though) or anywhere else, for that matter. ------------------ Sam C www.uci.edu UCI 2002 [email protected]
