Has anyone taken an Intro to Ecology course by distance? The only such course by correspondence is through University of Nebraska. It's math intensive. Oregon State University appears to offer one - but synchronous style (and online) with their quarter system. Two other sources sre Santa Barbara City College and Clinton County Community College (NY). These are more basic, learning by doing, simpleton approach. Finally, there is Empire State. My problem is that my preferred courses (and texts) have stopped offering this course - Colorado State University and Eastern (or Western?) Michigan University. The latter had co-authored the very thorough and interesting textbook. Bu now neither are available... Further options, anyone? --Orson
