As a large number of members and visitors have seen, www.wuworldwide was withdraws today due to another tantrum by Dr Brenden Tempest-Mogg of Warnborough thus conveniently proving my earlier comment correct. Understandably, the ISP proving the hosting for the site did not have any prior knowledge of Warnborough or what it actually stands for and fell for Tempest-Moggs intimidating tactics but explains as follows: “www.wuworldwide.i12.com We confirm that we have temporarily suspended the account containing the above website as we have received a number of e-mails from a Dr B D Tempest-Mogg representing Warnborough University stating that the site was (a) libelling them and (b) contained copyright infringements and that (c) they were preparing legal action against us. Clearly, this dispute does not relate to us and we do not wish to be a party to either side. However until we receive legal advice to the contrary, we must protect our position in the interim.” a) Libel charges: The site was opened to assist in the continuing battle against scams such as Warnborough. The British government and Trading Standards Offices have already made considerable progress in the UK and hopefully will continue doing so, but they are powerless to act elsewhere. Therefore the strategy remain to counter their misleading claims on www.warnborough.edu, www.warnborough.ac.uk and other domains currently registered under their name by providing valid, undeniable evident to demonstrate that our allegations are factual. If Warnborough or anybody else disagrees and gives a good reason and valid evidence to back them up, the offending material will be removed. b) Copyright infringements: All third party material, apart from a few instances where an identity had to be protected, on the site have been appropriately acknowledged or the copyright holder’s permission obtained prior to publication. That is far more than Warnborough did in in my case in 2001 and still continue their intentional violation of my copyrights. If Warnborough or anybody else disagrees and gives a good reason and valid evidence to back them up, the offending material will be removed or permissions obtained as necessary. d) Preparing legal action That, as demonstrated on the site is an empty threat designed to harass and intimidate people. It makes Tempest-Mogg look like an all powerful President of a real university. They even threatened the same in the case of the student lecturer they sent unsupported to China – just to appear perfect for the media. Warnborough would not dare to sue anybody in a Court of Law. What – in their circumstances!! They have not even dared to contact me or rest of us on line although I have been told that they do see every post on this forum and have so far spent some 6 hours scrutinising the site. The i12 team concludes: "We agree that complaining to you would have been the logical first step, and are very surprised to learn that this has apparently not happened. Whilst your acceptance of full responsibility for your site is noted, it still does not release us from copyright and liable laws since we are the entity actually hosting and disseminating the content. Unfortunately therefore, we cannot serve the site.” However, the entire site is being uploaded onto a more experienced server as we speak which, if all goes well, will be back online within 24 hours. I apologise for your wasted time and inconvenience and look forward to seeing you back tomorrow. I should also thank Tempest-Mogg and co. for being so generous in providing further evidence and demonstrating their unprofessional business practices and ethics so publicly and clearly. Warnborough Focus will continue Thanks for that, I am very proud to be here! As to my Warnborough 'fan club' website, it will continue and so seemingly will Dr. Tempest-Mogg's harassment and threats directed to my ISPs. He even had a go at my other ISPs yesterday which do not even mention Warnborough - its amazing how much the truth can hurt! After all, HE HAS'N GOT THE BALLS TO TAKE ANYBODY TO COURT! To protect my service providers and my non-Warnborough related material, the Warnborough Focus site will have to be password protected and restricted to the members only, such as the known contributors to this forum, government agencies, lawyers, etc. Warnborough has so far spent a total of 8 hours downloading from my various sites but in doing so, also presented me with all I need to protect my systems, such as their IP and ISP details. Given their previous and continuing copyright violations those will enable me to fight fire with fire as and when necessary. I have no intentions of starting any harassment campaigns directed to their or anybody else's - that's for the likes of Warnborough. Warnborough Focus has been uploaded to a secure server and will be back in business in a few days. In the meantime 'watch this space' for more from my 'All the Best from Warnborough' collection.
