Good Morning, I am looking for an inexpensive computor applications course that can be completed during the summer. Ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks. Hille

Course with applications for middle school

Thanks for the information. If anyone has found a specific course that has been helpful for middle school educators please let me know. My husband has already taken a basic course. Again, thanks for ideas and input. Hille

Coastal Carolina University offers a pair of apps courses from the regular curriculum throughout the year -- CSCI 105 and CSCI 106 -- in DL mode with no class meetings. Both are pretty good if you have no knowledge of MS Office -- they're an easy A if you already know the package. Coastal Carolina University is a state school in Myrtle Beach South Carolina -- in-state tuition is right about $250 an hour and these are 3 hour courses.

There are less expensive avenues but this one is good for SC residents and those looking for transferability to SC state universities.

DL courses can be found at - http://www.coastal.edu/distance/
