GMAT essay portion

    Well, despite screwing up on the math part of my GMAT, I just received the results of the essay portion and received a 5.7/6 which puts me up around the 96th percentile. I guess some engineers can write - lol. I think they need to rewrite some of the test in general, quantative analysis is not used very much. Had they simply asked you to solve equations, it would have more value. (IMHO).

    The entire learning process and test was expensive - about $450. for the test and testing books not including all of the time I spent studying. I still scored high enough to get into CSU-DH. Not exactly Stanford or Santa Clara U, but it will suffice for what I want to do with the degree.

    Intersting, I aced the Math and Essay, but not so hot on the other... I agree, too high of a cost, for something that doesn't show much. there is a similar thread on this going on right now, I do not think you can test PhD types, tyring to generalize them, there is so many different types.

    Good to hear you passed the hurdle, why to go!
