Hi Everyone, I am planning on obtaining a masters in education. So far, it seems to me that Walden U. offers the best deal, and the school looks good "on paper." Capella, although it seems to be reputable would cost me about 40% more .... UOP (where I obtained my BS) even more. I am trying to find anyone who had first hand experiences at Walden U. Can you all please give me any input, negative or positive, on Walden U.? Thanks, Aldo
There are actually a ton of schools out there with for a Master's in Ed. Walden has a good rep, but you can find others much cheaper with very good reps also.
Can you please tell me some of those other schools? I will check out Penn, but if there are better online deals for a masters in ed. I want to check them out. Thanks, Aldo
Hi Aldo One of the great things about distance learning is learning how to do your own searches. Have you had a chance to use the search feature on this site? Have you used Google to search for MA/MS Education? Have you checked out a copy of the Bear's guide to degrees in education? The world is your oyster man! Enjoy!
Education really isn't my area, but using the above searches I came across these two: http://ed-web3.educ.msu.edu/onlineedu/ $449 per credit hour http://www.liberty.edu/Academics/Education/Graduate/index.cfm?PID=2097&&code=GOG-471 $260 per credit hour I am not sure how they compare to Walden, but my guess is they are as cheap or cheaper.
Hi again, Here is another near you in Alabama at Troy State Univerisity at $290 an hour. http://www.tsulearn.net/GradPrograms/M_Ed/M_Ed.htm Since it looks like you might be a Florida resident I would be interested in what is available at the Florida State schools.
I found several MA ED degrees with specialties at ECU. http://www.options.ecu.edu/programs/#grad Again I would check out Florida schools too. Good luck.
Have you looked at the University of West Alabama http://www.uwe.edu I am taking master's level psychology courses and find them to be challenging and the 10 week term allows you to complete the curriculum rather quickly.
Master's in Education The US News site has a long list in their e-learning section of regionally accredited masters programs in Education: US News - Online Masters in Education Programs There are many programs in education. Walden is ok, but there are cheaper and more prestigious programs. Penn State which was mentioned and Indiana University are much more prestigious.
