The simple answer is yes. For particulars you might want to do a site search.

I mentioned two schools but other schools offering courses at a reasonable price have been discussed here.

Excelsior College's DistanceLearn database is an excellent starting point for finding what you seek. That database shows you which RA schools offer the courses you want and gives you links to the schools for more specific information like costs. I just checked the Excelsior website and it seems to be having some problems right now.

I'm thinking you mean Thomas Edison State College, and if that's the case then yes, it is ok. TESC is accredited by the middle states assoc. of colleges and schools, and it was created by the state of New Jersey, a fact that was important to me when I was looking for a distance program.
Classes are reasonable in price, at least for me as an NJ resident.

Can I take courses with credits instead of applying for a degree?

    Try BYU

I'm doing my last three hours with BYU (to transfer to OU). Grad or undergrad, thier university DL is less than $120 per hour. You don't need to enroll in the college, just enroll online in the courses. No transcripts or essays, just a credit card.

U of Missouri DL also does business this way, but I think they cost a bit more, not sure, its been several years since I wennt through them for some credit.

DistanceLearn is a database of schools offering courses by distance learning and is accessible to anyone. I'd give you a link but the Excelsior website is acting abnormally today.

I paid 200$ US for the 3 credit course, plus a 20$ enrollment fee. Dont quote me on that though.

    Re: Re: Re: Try BYU

Heres what Derby has to say about accepting credits:

Here at the University of Derby we have over 4,000 part time students and have considerable experience of assessing students in respect of exemptions for study they have taken elsewhere or knowledge they have gained through work or life experience.
You are strongly advised to apply for consideration of exemptions at the same time as you make an application to join a program, and information on how to apply can be found here:
    http://www.derby.ac.uk/4_student/gls/apl/index.html

So you might want to contact them to find out.

Also note that this is a 6-year degree!!!

My daughter is taking a B&M BSc in Pschology at York and they did not accept any prior credits -- but they did let her into the program based on her maturity. So far her toughest class is statistics.
