Seriously considering an attempt to portfolio my way through a Business or Managerial Communications course.

Has anyone tried this, and if so, any advice?

    Thanks, and cheers!

    Another option

    Hi,
I have no info on whether one can "portfolio" out of this but I think another interesting option is a challenge exam offered by Mountain State U.

I believe this exam is similar to a TECEP. I'm going to email TESC and ask if it is an acceptable option. I'll let you know what I find out.

    Here's the link.

    Regards,

    Mike

No link above in your post, but do keep us posted - sounds like an interesting way of doing it!

I imagine if you can get the credit on a Mountain U. transcript, TESC would probably take it that way ...

Hey Mike, did you ever hear back from TESC?

    No luck

Hi, I finally heard back from TESC on the Mountain State U challenge exam for Business Communications. It will NOT meet the requirements.

    Oh well.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the info .... However, I have $100 that says if you just sent a Mountain U transcript with "Managerial Communications" credit on it, they would apply it. :) I could be wrong, though ....

    deal

Make it $150 (cost of the exam) and I'll take you up on that bet!

Are you still shooting for the MBA at Florida? That's my first choice as well.

    Good luck,

    Mike

UF Warrington is on my short list of schools I will apply to. Of course, who knows if I'll get in. As it stands right now, here are my schools in order of preference:

U of Indiana - top 20-25ish ranked school - very highly regarded
U of Florida - Close in ranking, and close to me for easy residency
U of Georgia - same as above (but not distance - would have to attend)
U of Colorado at Colorado Springs - my safety net school, just in case
