    Hi, everyone!!!

For several months, an article in the News section of Degree.net announcd the launch of a major non-US university´s Distance Learning Program, which would comprise a full range of degrees from bachelors´to doctorates, in Eglish, all of them delivered through the Internet.

However, the article dissapeared some time ago and no further news of it has since appeared.

Does someone know the name of this university?

    Has the program started?

Perhaps Dr. John Bear himself can give me some help

    Thank you very much

Well, uh, that would have been the Centro de Estudios Universitarios. CEU, and its US-based MIGS office has probably had more commentary here than any other school on earth -- surely more than any school with, perhaps, a couple of dozen students.

No need to rehash the ups and downs again; a search in this forum will find a great many postings. The most reassuring, given my initial enthusiasm followed by much concern and uncertainty, is the one Rich Douglas posted a day or two ago, making very clear (to me) that this is just another basic Mexican degree program -- with, unfortunately, a history of some truly outrageous advertising and marketing (now, apparently, ended, thank goodness).

John Bear, who has agreed to serve on one and only one CEU doctoral committee for the sole purpose of helping my old friend Rich Douglas complee his Ph.D.

Thank you very much, Dr. Bear. That was really quick.
