I just wanted to let everyone know that I finally registered for an MBA program the University of North Alabama. Thanks for all your help and support during my search for a DL masters program. As of June 2 I will be an MBA student. This is kind of exciting for me because I have been thinking about per-suing an MBA for almost to years now.
Congratulations and good luck, Bo. It would be great if you could update once in a while on how the program is. I seem to recall that they were going to make you take qualifying courses, did they stick with that?
Good stuff! Congratulations. You will find the program very rewarding. By the way, what do you intend to major in?
Re: Re: I finally registered for an MBA program Yes they are making me take all the pre reqs. I have learned that UNA is very strict about this and unless you have a BBA or BComm you will have to take the pre reqs. Right now I am a bit concerned because today is the start date of the summer term but I have still not received my lecture DVDs. I tried to get a hold of Toysan Reed, who is my adviser at UNA four times today to tell here about this but I had no luck. I got my syllabus from the the professors for all the courses I am going to be taking this summer. So for it looks like there will be a lot of reading(500-600 pages/week). Mostly it looks like this you read a chapter in one of the text books and watch a DVD lecture for that chapter and take an online quiz about it. Also sometimes the professors will be posting a question in the forum that the students have to reply to. Each term there is a mid-term and a final exam. In some classes they are online and in some classes they are proctored. It's mostly up to the instructor.
