Anyone here ever used Degree Consulting? www.degreeconsulting.com

I was reading through Bear's guide on Education Degrees via Distance Education and saw an ad for them and was wondering if anybody had any experience with them?

No, and I've never met anyone who has used their services. That being said, if John wasn't sure about the quality of their services, we wouldn't have put it in the book.

Disclaimer: I also do what they do, so, in theory, what I say could be biased by that information.

While I have not been involved with Degree Consulting for -- good heavens -- 23 years (the sales agreement was signed the week John Lennon died) -- I have been very sensitive to complaints and concerns. I have gotten perhaps a dozen complaints in 20 years, nearly all related to mail problems or unrealistic client expectations. So I continue to believe and assume that Peter and Andrea Proehl are doing a satisfactory job.

Thanks so much for the replys. I am still mulling over whether or not I need consulting services or not.

I appreciate you taking time out to post.

For the record, the correct URL is www.degreeconsult.com (as pointed out in the Online College Info forum). The URL that Drew provided is an unrelated degree mill site.

    Oxpecker,

Thanks so much for the corrected URL. You are right, that is the correct one.

I've used their service twice; would you like to meet me? <g>

    About their service:
After filling our a questionnaire, they provide you with a customized report that discusses your educational goals and where/how to achieve them. They also offer a year of support (i.e., answering the occasional question) at no extra charge.

It was my opinion both times I purchased their services that their reports were well worth their modest costs. This is not to suggest that their reports are indispensable, only that one can only benefit from a second, cogent opinion.

    Cordially,
    Richard Kanarek
