I call these guys who have advertised this University and they refused to give me the website for the University. My guess is that it is a scam and a bogus university.

BPPVE is a department of the "State of California" not the US governement (http://www.bppve.ca.gov/) whihc has a Newport University as an "approved" not accreited organization out of Newport Beach, California.

To my knowledge (and searching) there is no Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education in the federal government.

Department of Private Education of Malaysia has strict regulations and enforcement over local education institutions and none of Malaysian institution is allowed to collaborate with an unaccredited US universities. Even DETC accredited universities are not approved to offer programs in Malaysia with local institutions and only RA accredited universities are considered to operate upon obtaining accreditation by National Board of Accreditation (LAN) of Malaysia.

The culprits are those who form a business corporation and claim to be the recruiting representative of such diploma mills universities and these corporations currently are not regulated by Department of Education. Since they are not regulated as yet so they take full advantge and advertise boldy in newspapers. NU is just one of many example.

When an unaccredited institution claims bogus accreditation and mislead public by telling "Approved by US Government" its obviously a diploma mill.

I got my first degree from an RA accredited institution in US. You got to read the attachment (an advertisement made by NU where they claim to be "approved by US government" and with some bogus accreditations. And your knowledge seems to be limited or outdated, please check the Wyoming DOE as they are now approved by WDE.
