Does anyone have an idea on how a DL foreign Engineering degree is rated in the US? Say, a Bachelor degree in Engineering from a British, Australian or Ireland institution, for instance? With that said, is anyone aware of any DL institution that offers a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering/ or any Engineering or an Optical Science related degree? Are these degrees as difficult and as demanding or as involved as a US based BSEE degree?

My darling husband, (yeah right) was accepted at the University of North Dakota to compete is BSEE degree, now he decides he doesn’t want to go because (1) they are too expensive and his job refuses to pay more than an in state tuition rate and (2) they have only accepted 4 of the 90 credits he incurred in achieving his Associate of Science in Biomedical Engineering degree with a 3.9 grade point average (Yikes!). Being as motivated as he is (if you believe that, I have a piece of the Brooklyn Bridge for sale), he does not want to spend the rest of his life in school. So my search for him, continues.

    Any advice, Please?

    Many thanks.

Indiana State has a BS in biomedical electronics technology. It is not engineering, but they might take all of his credits.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but through the Southern REgional Educational board - Electronic Campus (http://www.electroniccampus.org/) it is possible to do a program through many different schools all at in-state tuition rates. While the number of programs with an engineering bent are limited there ar a few (see: http://www.electroniccampus.org/student/scripts/programs/programlist.asp?Page=1&SearchType=Standard&Term=&TermName=&SearchField=1&Keywords=&Subject=14.05&Institution=All&State=All&ProgLevel=2&Sort=ProgramTitle&PageSize=20&B1=Submit)
A search function is at: http://www.electroniccampus.org/student/scripts/search/programsearch.asp
