University of London external programme

What are the opinions on the University of London's external programme, specifically in law?

I've already read quiet a bit about it. But I was hoping to hear more opinions from people who actually did it.

- How is the degree later looked upon?

- For those of you who have tried to either be accepted to a reputable (and of course ABA recognised) LLB to JD programme after the degree - what are the chances of getting into a good programme? For those of you who have tried to take the practical exam in the UK - how difficult was it finding a barrister/solicitor who'd agree to take you for a year for the practical exam?

-What are the employability prospects?
