    Dear All,

Hope all of you are fine and well this sunny Mothers day.

Thanks for all the info in the past.

I have a brother who is about to finish his post graduate
studies and is at cross roads.

He is interested in either going the corporate route or maybe
taking up a teaching/lecturing/instruction position at a university.

Do you know of any preparation courses that he can take and
pay for himself (online would be even better coz of convenience)?

He would like to take some preparation courses so as to gauge
the higher education teaching sector before he makes a decision.

    Thanks in advance.

California State University, Dominguez Hills has a little 9-unit certificate in community college teaching.

    http://www.csudh.edu/ccteaching/

It includes two courses, one on "effective teaching" and the other on the history and function of the community college. The third requirement is a three unit college teaching internship performed at a local community college.

    Thanks Bill ...

    Bill,

Thanks for this link. It is a good starting point for him.

If you come across any that are even more specific for
the university (aside from community college), please
    send me the link too.

If there are other people on this site with more info,
please also feel free to send the links on this site.

    Thanks!

    MM
