What kind of graduate programs can these degrees help me with?

    Just out of curiosity:

A Liberal Studies Bachelor's Degree from Excelsior College?
What kind of graduate programs could I get into and study with this degree? And how good would a Master's in Liberal Studies from FHSU be, if I decided to go that route?

A Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Fort Hays State University? What kind of graduate programs can that help me with?

A lot depends on what type of graduate programs interest you. Many graduate programs require just an accredited Bachelor's degree for admission, with no requirements of a specific undergrad major.

Other graduate programs (business comes to mind) will require a certain major or required undergrad courses. Many of these schools will offer "leveling" courses prior to admission to make up any shortcomings.

The following is my best guess with out doing any research (note these are broad generalities and specifics make a difference, also I am assuming RA).

None of them would be much use in getting into an engineering or science program, you would probably need to take a lot of supplimental course work. Any would probably work for a law program or a business program (again some supplemental courses (math and statistics mostly)).

Probably fine for education or similar.

    Again just my best guess.

What grad degree do you want?

Look at the pre-req's for the grad degree you want and use those pre-req's as part of your undergrad program.

Many programs do not require a specific undergrad degree; instead they require certain classes to meet admission requirements.

A lot depends on what courses you included in your BSLS. In my case I had a lot of engineering courses so I was readily accepted into the two graduate programs I applied for and subsequently earned masters from (MS in Quality Assurance and Master of Aeronautical Science).

Ironically, I have given this a lot of thought. The graduate degree I would likely go after would be either a Business or Psychology degree. The first thing I will do, when I receive my Bachelor's Degree, though, is enter into a Post-Bac program for teaching purposes. After that, though, I'm unsure of whether or not I would go after a graduate degree in teaching. I really feel, though, that I would seek a graduate degree, like I already said, in Business (over Psychology) as I want to teach in a university at some point. Would I be best to get the Liberal Studies degree (so I can get into a teaching field more quickly)?

Would it be wrong to get the Bachelor in Organizational Leadership later? I really do like the looks of that degree (but it's going to take me quite a bit longer).

People do change their directions after earning a first degree - all the time. Nothing about it requires you to have a "correct" first degree - except that most grad programs either require or hold out a certain preparatory program as desireable.

The main question is whether or not you want to have that prep work recognized within (or "as") your first degree, or do it later. Either way is doable (and done)! Another way to put it: what way would be most SATISFYING to you?

One of my big questions still... What do I want to be when I grow up?
Here is a possible masters for you which would be a great follow-up for either BS. Have a look at the http://csudh.edu/negcon/ and see what you think.
I like this one, maybe as a second masters, since it sounds cool and the price is too good to pass up ! ! !
    Good luck.

This degree was popular with police officers in the area during my time at CSUDH.

The Excelsior bachelors will work fine for a grad program in psychology, business or education (or many other disciplines). It is the best degree to get if you are planning to pursue a K-8 teaching credential.

Depending on what you want a grad degree in a BA in Liberal Arts would be fine. Most of the time all they care about is a liberal arts undergrad degree (unless it's something really technical) so that would be fine.

I can't imagine what good a Masters in Liberal Arts would be unless you were working somewhere already and they would pay you more for a masters not caring what in.
