Pace University - Doctorate of Professional Studies

Pace University is offering a Doctorate of Professional Studies in Computing .. can be completed in 3 years via distance. Cost $50k.

Seems like a reasonable way to finish a Doctorate while still working.

 

It would depend on what you need the degree for. It appears that pace is the only school in the US offering a DPS (although RIT may be offering one soon). If you are looking for academic appointment, you MAY wish to look for the PhD programs (like NSU) instead. But the DPS program at pace does seem interesting.

Pace advertises this program quite aggressively here in the NYC area.

From what I recall, it's not entirely DL -- the program includes Friday and Saturday on-campus sessions every few weeks.
