I posted this one time before in "Off Topics"and never got a response. I hope to get one this time-

I am changing my resume and rewriting the cover letter to start to apply for adjunct positions. I am going to start with DETC schools to teach online courses in information tech and some RA schools that do not require a PhD.

    Should I say something like,
Since I have completed the majority of my education through distance learning, I feel I am uniquely qualified to understand the needs of the distance learner.

The topics I am interested in teaching are, but not limited to: e-commerce, information technology management, networking technology, human relations, organizational management / behavior, marketing, and business fundamentals.

Some feedback please. How should it be worded? Thanks.

    Randell,

To get an idea of available opportunities I went to monster.com and looked for "adjuncts" and tailored my experience/academic emphasis for the position I was interested in. I did not limit myself to any particular type of school (as long as they were accredited) since I was mostly testing the waters. I applied to five, had offers from two and ended up with one because I don't have time to commit to more than one class at a time. I can have combination classes. To explain; I can have students that are strictly on-line learners or students who are on ground and taking on-line classes as well. So don't limit yourself to just the distance learning experience if you know that the school also has on-ground students. I have taught at various other levels so I included this information in my cover letter.

Please PM if you would like to discuss further.

I did respond to your earlier post via PM but your box was full.

    Regards,

Realize that I have absolutely no experience, but I think the uniquely qualified line is good. I have thought about using it myself.
