    Hello,
Boy I'm feeling lucky, this post may actually work without having to conjure up another alias!
Here is my question: How is the University of South Africa perceived?

I've noticed that UNISA just received DETC accreditation, since that is not RA, does the university systems in America readily accept their graduates? Personally I'm looking into pursuring a doctorate in History; with a job and a rooted family here in South Carolina I have no other alternative than distant education mode.
Plus the price is unbelievable! Union Institue is out....they are too pricey for this poor country bumkins!
Hope to hear some good UNISA news!
    Gavin

It is equivalent to RA based on its South African status. The best thinking on the DETC was so that students could take out loans for the education, but at hose prices (1 year UniSA = 1 course Colorad State) who would need to.

Thanks Mike, now I see why they sought DETC
