North Central is about the only program I am really looking at for a PhD for various reasons. I would be looking into either an Education or Psyc degree. For those who have been through or currently going through this program I would like to know what it's really like once you get into it and what the price ends up being. Thanks

    Holly,

I am going to assume you mean Northcentral University (there is also a North Central University) . www.ncu.edu

If so go to their website and click on "Ambassadors" you will find folks who have completed their degrees in at least one of the areas you indicated. The Educational program has not kicked off that I know of at this time but you can ask the university and they can get you some info. The price is $475 per credit hour for the PhD courses.

I am in the PHD Business-MIS program and I can provide some general answers if you holler back. If you prefer PM me.

According to their site, the new School of Education will start accepting applications this Summer for M.Ed., Ed.D. and Ph.D. programs.

Fed, can you provide some information about your experiences in the Ph.D. in business? i.e.,
    1. how are the instructors?
    2. are the courses worthwhile, assuming you put the effort in?

So far the courses have been fine. Plan on getting out what you put in. Hard to say with the instructors, they seem well versed and well qualified. Keep in mind you are an independent learner so you will have to be responsible for making contact. For me it works well, for others they may want more guidance.

Hope this info helps. Good Luck.

I'm an NCU student in the business PhD program. I really like NCU, and the program I'm in. Everyone at NCU has been great. Classes are challenging, but not back-breaking. All my mentors have been better than I expected and very helpful. Assignments are usually graded, with good comments and suggestions, within a couple days of submission, and sometimes within 24 hours. The NCU advisor said to me before I enrolled "If you are commited we will help you succeed", and they have kept their word. I am very happy I made the choice to go to NCU.
