Hi, I am looking for information from US users about the University of South Africa. Is it legitimate? Any problems? I was hoping to get my Master's but it appears that you have to get a Honor's and before that a Bachelor's from them. Is that true? I appreciate any help.

Also, what about Warnborough U from the UK. I have read reviews - both sides - A scam / not a scam.
    Thanks. Bobbi

    UNISA degree

I earned my D.Ed. from UNISA, and it was a marvelous learning experience. I already held a Ph.D. from a major US state university, but my qualitative study done under the guidance of two UNISA profs was probably more rigorous than my "traditional" doctoral degree. I was highly motivated, and had a fairly clear idea of my intended research area. But I was well served through UNISA. Cost was about $1900. including fees... an unbeatable value.

Thanks Charles, I read through your thread and that also helped. UNISA looks like the real thing. Some of the terminology they use has caused me to pause ie. 'papers' I thought at first they meant writing a paper. I gather it is their way of saying take an exam.

The exam site was another concern of mine. Do you know if they will allow you to use Sylvan?

I'm now in the 2nd year of a DLitt et Phil program at UNISA. I'm enjoying the program. The faculty is excellent. I have not had any problems with UNISA to date. If you need specific answers to your questions, feel free to contact UNISA's U.S. and Canadian representative - Dr. Michael Esselen
