    Hello folks,
Buckwheat here, aka hornet, aka chyt, aka History, aka Gavin; The reason for all these name changes is: It seems I have to keep changing my registration profile everytime I log on just to post a new thread or even comment on a current thread. I get one posting them WHAM I cannot post again! If I have been banned for whatever reason I was never notified. I have continuously have emailed Degreeinfo.com's administration.... about the problem with never the courtesy of a reply! Many times in the past I have tried to get may password sent to me as a simple test......never once a response! At first I thought it was software related, AOL etc. but this has been going on for at least a year or two..... unless someone can help....Ive had it with degreeinfo.

Oh by the way! Thanks everyone for the replies on a Doctorate in History by distant ed.
    Best to all,
    Gavin

Don't be too sure it isn't AOL-related. I finally gave up on AOL because e-mails didn't get through, trouble posting (including here), and having to retry almost every maneuver over and over again to get it to work, from signing on to everything else--including signing off!

I can assure you that you're not getting banned. Your names are being switched to a different status than banned. As Janko mentioned, it's most likely an issue with AOL.

If you (or anyone else) has a problem with your account, please let me or another administrator know before you register another account. My e-mail is [email protected]

I believe the troubles mentioned are the reason many people assume they are banned here.

Then some people try to reregister under another alias and are really banned.

Sometimes I have struggled to make the system work and it always seems to, eventually.

I had an initial problem with the mail client not sending me the activation link, but Bruce was kind enough to manually activate my account and no problems since.

Did you promptly send in your check ( or for those not in the States, did you not intera alia, post your cheque)?

If not I'll forward my address in Nigeria which you can send the deposit and we shall wire the funds directly to your account. It is imperati......

My mistake. Bill manually activated my account, not Bruce. I know this most likely means absolutely nothing to anyone but me and my obsessive need to ensure I give correct information.
