Hello again, What do you all think about University of Baltimore's webMBA program. Here's the url: http://ubonline.edu/webmbahome.html Thanks, k
I do not like the sound of a webMBA. What is a webMBA? Why don't they just call it an MBA? I mean do you have put on your resume Baltimore University - webMBA I'd rather have: Baltimore University - MBA It just seems silly to me, and it also gives the impression that it is a lesser MBA. They say on their website that it is the exact same MBA (with a different focus), only without campus visits. So if your doing all the work the MBA's are doing you should get an MBA. And if its alot different than a traditional Baltimore MBA, then why not call it by a more traditional letting (MA, MS, MBA:IT) I may be making a big deal out of nothing, but thats how I feel. I don't mean to pick on just Baltimore, because I've seen other schools do it too (Georgia for one). Do they really think someone wants a webMBA over a MBA, or is there something else going on here? There are plenty of high quality AACSB business schools that will give you a MBA, not a webMBA, online for less money. Forgive me if all that adds up to more than 2 cents .
UBalt Splas said it for me. It's very pricey and there are other equivalent programs at less cost. They must be self supporting.
I have spoken with U of B previously, and there webMBA is awarded as an MBA, with no difference between the two.
I stand corrected then, I take back everyhting I said up there (I still hate the term webMBA though). It looks pricey (about 2.1k per 3 credit class out-of-state), but maybe a U of Baltimore MBA would have some name value attached to it thats makes it worth the extra fees?
