I saw this university (www.uis.us) is a member of the United States Distance learning Assosication (USDLA). whats interesting is that the University only accepts students from and in china.

I have never heard of an institution taking admitting only one group of student and only from one country.

The accredition seems to be from a non recognized body as well.

This might be interest to some of the reader on degreeinfo or even to Dr.Bear

To these types, non-traditional is really double speak for unaccredited. They would have others believe that the hundreds of legitimately accredited distance learning options don't exist. Since working adults have been using well established distance learning models for over 100 years, I'd say it is high time it loses the moniker of "non-traditional".

It always causes me pause to consider an educator, with a terminal degree from a place like Cornell, would get involved in these things. Rationalization is a very powerful drug.

what is also interesting is that all the photos are of europeans Not Chinses. The university has not given a contact not postal address.

Is this a below par diploma Mill? I mean at least diploma mills either list a phone number and a postal address.

PaulC, well said. I couldnt have put it better!!!!!

Sounds like a targeted scam. A large, emerging Chinese "middle class" desirous of U.S. degrees is fertile ground for that.
