i'm looking for a list of schools that do not require GMATs. my wife is getting her BS with me and looking for a good school but is not interested in taking the GMAT. i know, i know it's not all that bad but she will not take it. a florida or texas based school would be best but not totally needed. RA is a must and average to below average cost would be nice. totally DL unless there is a campus near tampa, fl. i have talked her into this whole education thing (lol) so i'm on her terms. she has never worked since high school and that was 12 years ago. she really has no plans to work and that is ok with me, with the 5 kidos and all it's good thing. she is doing it mainly because i have convinced her that she may want to use it at some point in her life. i want to seize the moment and get it done, i know she will be happy when she finishes. as far as concentratoin goes, she's a bit open about now. finance, hr or general is the top 3 but not the only consideration. she will be helping me in my business ventures so anything that will support that would be nice.
Too bad about the GMAT because there is a very good program costing about $6,000 grand at University of South florida in Tampa that meets all your other requirments. Next Is the Univeristy of Tampa whihc is more expensive and requires the GMAT The only school in the area that does not to my knoweldge is Florida metro which is DETC not RA (also expensive).
There are hordes of schools that don't require the GMAT I believe Amberton is one of them, is cheap, and is Texas based. www.amberton.edu Also relatively inexpensive RA no GMAT are: www.bellevue.edu www.baker.edu
nova has a local campus, but it is costly. i have decided on nova for the entrep. program that i really like. fits me well.
I believe in June the decision will be announced. But my understanding is that it is the Phd program they are focusing on.
AIU There is NOTHING inexpensive about it, but it is entirely online, very very quick, and no GMAT. Best of Luck!
I've had an excellent experience with Upper Iowa University as an undergrad, the instructors, and students both have been a very memorable and conducive to an educational environment. They are a B&M school that offers RA and IACBE (I know the argument of lessor than AACSB) online degrees and have no GMAT for GPA's over 2.75 for the last 60 hours of undergrad work. http://www.uiu.edu W Parker
Check out University of Dallas [http://gsmweb.udallas.edu/online_learning/] ... there is a way to get in without a GMAT but you need to maintain a 3.4 GPA for a couple of initial classes ... more info http://imba.udallas.edu/index.learn?action=admissions&subaction=Requirements Also http://biz.colostate.edu Colorado State Univ has an AACSB accredited MBA ~15k that waives GMAT requirements if you have work experience .,... Most schools dont really care about the GMAT scores .. i took the test without studying one minute and got over 500 ... applied to several AACSB schools and got into all of them. Perhaps my high undergrad and grad GPAs helped .. good luck
I don't believe Liberty University ($170 per hour) or Fort Hays ($112 per hour) require the GMAT. They aren't located in Florida or Texas but they are totally online. Pug
thank you sooo much for the info. maybe i can talk her into the gmat. but it is a fine line between pressure and suggestion. lol.
