Hi guys I have not be active on this discussion board for sometime now. I am using this avenue to express my appreciation for the help this site and the great pundits who contribute to it have provided me and in fact to any one who read the posts. I finished my MBA degree with a concentration in E-business in october last year from University of Phoenix. Then I went into writing , published articles in some prominent newspapers and online journals just for the sake of landing an adjunct position one day. Do a goggle serach for me and you will see my articles. Now the reward has paid through. I have received interviews from some prominent universities out of 4 interviews, 3 of them have promised me positions come August. I have also gone ahead to enroll into another masters degree programe in distance education with concentration on Adult Learning . It is 100% online , though I do not know what this will do for me now, but my job pays 100 % for this so while not go in for it ? What do you guys think ??? Do you think this degree will help me ?

    WHO KNOWS?

DL is coming on like gangbusters! I'm no expert, just a participent, but, my impression is that it is a really good time to get in on the ground floor.

For goodness sakes, even Harvard is offering online DL courses!

The bottom line with ANY degree is WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO DO WITH IT, AND HOW EFFECTIVELY YOU PURSUE THE GOALS YOU SET FOR YOURSELF. This even goes for a professional degree such as a JD or MD. (I personally know an MD who graduated 3rd in his class who never practiced medicine a day in his life and is currently studying floor scrubbing at a medium security federal penitentiary after a very brief semi-professional career as an insurance scammer! Perhaps he should have stuck with his trainng, I think he would have made a much better doctor than scam-artist.)

A much more conservative approach would be to pursue a high-value, highly specialized degree like this one:

Whatever you choose, good luck and best wishes!

Congratulations and good luck. I wonder why you have not considered doctoral studies.

Definetly I will Ike! Right now I cannot pay for it because my job only pays 50% of that. However when I am more "situated" financially then I will go in for it . What do you think about the Masters in Distance Learning Specialisation in Adult learning and distance learning ? What will it do for me ? What can I teach with it ? Does any body know?
