Of course everyone knows its National Library Week.

Thompson/Gale/Some whacking monoploy is giving free access to some of its fee based databases for NLW.

Go to http://libraryweek.galedemo.com/itshere.htm for the free stuff. As far as I can tell the librarian button is the same as the everybody else button, but the librarian button requires registration and the other does not.

I don't work for them I'm simply a librarian who likes free stuff.

The London Times Digital Archive from 1785-1985 was pretty neat. Papist showd up in the 1807 but lesbian did show until 1967. Fishmonger showed up in 1797.

Being a librarian is a lot of fun because no one wonders why you are searching for papist, lesbian, and fishmonger ( together or seperatly) [googling that was just odd].

Enjoy it while it is still free!

    Matt
