I am doing some research of how to get a Real Estate License? I am in California.

Is there classes to take? Can they be taken DL? How do you work with the brokers / companies (like 21st century, etc.). How long does it take? Who offers them? Is the license only good in certain coutnies, or is it a state license?

Any help would be great, I am starting a goole searach too, but thougt the board could help narrow more quickly.

If none of these answer your questions they might lead you to the answers you need!

You might also visit some of the local RE offices and ask to speak with management. Brokers all know the key to success in RE is networking and networking starts with the number and quality of the agents working under you!

    Good luck!

    Allied Business school

HA, Gunsmoke has it right on the money. Allied is DETC accredited, and they have awesome DL real estate classes. They can be done on line or through the mail. They also are the best price, and will let you sell back your books after your done.

They also have an appraisal certification course. I did my real estate sales, and all of my Brokers courses through them, and would highly recommend them. One last note, if you are doing your Brokers classes, you can only do one every 18 days, so plan accordingly. When you figure you need 9 courses to take your Brokers, that can take awhile. Good luck.

After reading the previous posters link to Allied, I gave them a call and paid the $270 for the RE Sales exam materials.

I received the materials today. Very large box containing 3 DVDs, Exam Cram Guide, Study Guide, Reference Guide, sample questions, and information on how to log on to the online portion of the course.

So far so good. Lets see how well I do on this :)
