Maharishi Open University offers distance education globally via the Internet and in many areas also by satellite.

Such complete knowledge is not available in any other university.

The knowledge of Maharishi Open University delves deeply into the mechanics of how Natural Law structures everything in the universe, including every human being. Every level of the physiology—the brain, the cells, even the DNA—has its cosmic counterparts in the sun, moon, planets, and stars. This is because the intelligence of Natural Law that structures and governs the whole galactic universe also structures and governs every level of our physiology and personality. All courses of Maharishi Open University help us grow quickly in full knowledge and experience of our true, cosmic nature.

    Does anyone know this university?
    and How about it?

At the risk of offending someone, who would spend money to attend this school?

At the risk of losing out forever on the possibility of yogic flying, I'm constrained to point out that most people who are committed to natural law as a philosophical/religious construct have absolutely utterly totally nothing to do with this school, its views, or its in-house political party.

    To wit, among others:
    Confucius
    Cicero
    Paul
    Gersonides
    Aquinas
    Melanchthon
    Maritain
    Nasr
    Novak (D.)

and even the old Carpathian, who is the least of all saints, and has trouble moving about on ground level, let alone launching himself by concentrated tuckus-power into the aether.

    Hi, zvavda.

I might be mistaken, but I think that Maharishi Open University is different institution than Maharishi University of Management. MOU doesn't seem to offer degree programs or university credit, and I don't think that MUM's regional accreditation extends to it.

What do I think about it? I think that its courses might be great for somebody who wants to learn about Maharishi's rather peculiar doctrines, but I'm not one of those people myself.

Maharishi U. of Management proper does offer one DL class that I know of, and it happens to be of interest to me.

It's a beginning course in Sanskrit. It costs $317 if you don't take it for credit (I don't care about credit), with a $50 refund when you return the videotapes. You can also take it for two graduate units, but that costs $700.

    http://www.mum.edu/cont_ed/sanskrit.html

This isn't the only DL option in Sanskrit, though it's the only one I know of with an option for RA university credit.

Frankly, if I were interested in studying Hinduism by DL, I'd be more inclined to look for something a little more orthodox.

I don't want to scare Degreeinfo, but here's a non-accredited thing that's kind of interesting. Apparently it's operating on a Florida religious exemption:

It seems to offer several DL classes, including another class in Sanskrit.

    Sorry for my english.

I am hinduist since 27 now I am on 43, in that area I must say that the only proper way to abtain knowloment about hinduism must came from a genuine indian temple, the inner instructions on the scriptures say very clear that the only way of theaching is acroos "guru parampara" this means from master to disciple continiusly , it seems that this university is recomended for a couple of temples in USA in that way they are good.

For hinduism will never be possible to be nothing like a RA because the acreditation must came from a genuine temple not for a civil institution. Which civil institution can go to say to the oldest religion in the world if they are or they are not teaching in the proper way?. For the last 3000 years the hinduism has been practised on India on the temples, so its fanny to think that now an a westerm privated association on USA can give credit to them.

Do you want to know if someone is a genuine or not in that area? you only has to ask them What knowed temple on India for centuries are acrediting you? thats all; if the answer is that there is no genuine temple on it, they are bogus. The faculty team seems to be a very hight qualificated persons.

I am absolutly agree with the USA government whem let the religious on the hands of religious institutions, any credit must came between them. If I am a doctor on medicine I am this all over the world, in front of any person I can say, "YES I AM". but whem you are a follower of a particular religion and even having a M.Div you have no real degree because in front of an atheist person or single one that do not make any questions about God, or other religious practitioners, you have nothing more than a pice of paper, in despite of the thounsands of hours that you have been studing. Theology is not a proper sciencie, this will not happend to you if you are a doctor on medicine. So as Jesus said, "let what belongs to Caesar on Caesar and give to God what belongs to Him". A doctor on medicine and a doctor on divinity will never be equall, may be I prefer the second one, he is less dangerous
    :)
