I read in earlier posts that a lot of Touro students take two classes at a time. How difficult is this? Although I am used to accelerated courses/schools, juggling numerous courses is foreign to me.
Two classes are a piece of cake; I feel I could have done three. BUT the last two classes I am taking requires about twice as much time as the othre classes. I spent about 10-15 hours a week for the two classes.
Let me clarify - I spent about 10-15 hours a week for the two classes for the previous 7 classes I have taken. Now I spend about 20-30 hours a week.
Re: taking two classes.... How many assignments/exams did you write while taking both classes. I just want to compare the requirements between Touro and U. of Phoenix.
In the classes I have taken at Touro. Each class has a case and a slp paper due every module which is two weekslong. There are six modules.
Phd program Like in the previous post, I've got a SLP assignment and a Case assignment every 2 weeks. The SLP assignment is drawn out over the quarter, but averages 5-6 written pages per 2 week period. The Case averages around the same length, so I'm doing 10-15 pages every 2 weeks plus research. There's an ongoing poll at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TUI/ where something like 49% of those who voted take two courses per term (session). And another 12% or so are taking three courses per term.
Does anyone have an update on Touro and it's accreditation issues? I have been strongly considering their MS-ITM but really want to know if the accreditation issue with middle states is cleared up before I apply.
