I just spoke with my admissions counselor at LBTS and found that they have reduced the residency requirements. One can now earn the Master of Arts in Religion (sans specialization)without ever appearing on campus. The residency classes for the M.Div. program have been reduced from five to two. Those two classes, Pastoral Counseling and Expository Preaching, really require face-to-face time anyway.
That is correct. They have several majors available in the distance learning BA program, and none require on-campus time. I should also clarify something in my prior post. By residency classes I mean one week intensive format classes - not regular semester courses.
A trend? I was disappointed when Liberty reduced its residency requirements for the MBA program. Previously two classes required a 1-week residency, now only the capstone class requires a 1-week residency.
