Does anyone have any idea which DL school offers the shortest LLM Degree or any LLM Degree (for that matter) entirely through the research method?

As usual, I'll appreciate your comments.

Yes. I know of ONE legtimate U.S. school but it is unaccredited. Northwestern California University School of Law offers a state approved research LL.M.

The degree is legitimate IMHO because the school itself is one of the three or four correspondence JD programs that routinely produce new California lawyers. Academically, however, the degree probably has little or no value. It would be of no use at all in establishing Bar eligibility, for instance.

There are no D/L LL.M. research based degree programs approved by the ABA.

Of greater value might be an LL.M. from UNISA. They have a research only program available by D/L but I don't know any more than that it exists.

All of the U.K. D/L LL.M. programs are "taught" degrees. I know of no M.Phil. D/L programs in law.
