I have been thinking about a PhD when I finish my MS-ITM, but I am starting to rethink that goal. The two classes I am in now at Touro have required me to spend twice as much time on assignments as previous classes and I am getting B’s instead of A’s. I am starting to rethink the PhD because of the amount of work that would be required for a dissertation.

I do not need a PhD for my current job and I do not think I would want it bad enough for ego to do all the work needed. Are there many / any DL schools that offer a CAGS? The only one I have found so far is
    Regent University .

while most do not call it "Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study", most universities offer certificates at the graduate level for taking a set of courses. Often the courses are part of a masters or a doctoral program.

A good example is the CSUDH MSQA prgram in Quality Assurance with four certificates you can earn either separately or as part of the whole program.

In what field of study are you interested? That makes a difference.

There are quite a few graduate-level certificate programs, but most are considered to be less than a masters degree (since they usually require only 15-18 units).

A Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (C.A.G.S. or C.A.S.) is more common in eastern universities. I had seen them at Harvard and University of Massachussetts, among others. The C.A.G.S. is usually about 30 units or so and is generally considered equivalent to an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree--halfway between a masters and a doctorate.

I am interested in Business, Management, or Technology Management, or something along those lines. I have looked at the EdS from Valdosta State University - http://coefaculty.valdosta.edu/info/cait/it_site/it_eds.htm but is not really business / management / leadership focused.
