Well, It has been a looong road since I started out over 7 years ago. I first got the idea of doing distance learning after reading Dr Bear's guide (which i found because of a certain truck driving PhD on a certain usenet newsgroup) I first completed my Regents BSCIS degree in Dec 2000 and quickly enrolled in University of Maryland University College in the MSc in Tech Mgmt. After 2 semesters I decided to enter the dual program. I am 2 weeks away now from ending my last class at UMUC, and I will be at the graduation ceremony on May 15th in College Park receiving both the MSc and a MBA !!!! Thanks to everyone here, yes I have mostly lurked, but all the postings, and some input from you have encouraged me to stay the course the past 7 years. Of course it has taken awhile, and it was not cheap, but i feel that it was 1000% worth it. Now I will have a TON of free time to spend with my family.....but I still have the education bug.... Thanks to Bear and Dr Truck Driver (and everyone else !) Jim McMurry
Congratulations! If you don't mind, as this seems like a very interesting program, could you share a little about the costs, workload and any positives/negatives of the program? This seems like something I could be potentially interested in as well as others. Cheers, Mark
Congratulations!!! I know how hard it is to gain one degree but to earn two you must be really proud !If the key to success in this world is hard work and disipline your half way there. congrats agian!
