Is there any type of credit bank for DETC? I currently have an Associates of Occupational Studies in Computer Programming from an (ACCSCT) accredited school and would like to possibly work on a BA or BS without starting all over. I guess I'm a professional credit collector....I have
56 credit hours (CCAF), 32 hours DETC, and 64 credit hours (ACCSCT), with no general education hours! Regents aka Excelsior will only accept the CCAF hours, so I'm looking at DETC as a possible alternative to Excelsior and TESC. DETC will fullfill my current degree needs. Any ideas on the shortest route to a BA/BS... as my employer said, "It can be in basket weaving but needs to be recognized by the Department of Education.". I'm normally a lurker in here and used to frequent AED until it went downhill. This is my first post in here so please don't slam me to hard :) BTW the credits are 56 in aircraft electronics, 32 Real Estate and 64 in Computer Programming...Don't ask... :) Thanks!

    Dear Mick,

    Greetings!

Your question is really interesting, and I have never thought about a DETC Credit Bank service. At any rate, I am not aware of such, but it is my understanding that Charter Oak State College, Ohio University, and perhaps Thomas Edison State College offer Credit Bank services. I have the impression that Charter Oak is the most generous, so maybe you want to start with it.

    Best of luck,
