SUNY - Buffalo will soon offer an online MBA

    It is a pity that TAMUC terminated its online MBA when so many schools begin to offer the online options.

    Some faculty members thought the online program may affect the quality of the in-class program, since professors may have to prepare both an in-class version and an online version. Too much workload.

    I don't see it as much of a pity. You (obviously) are aware of the many, many MBAs available via distance learning. What I'd like to see some schools do is offer degrees in fields where it is more difficult or impossible to get degrees by distance.

    I was in the program last year. TAMUC terminated the program when I finished my third class. So I suggest that learners pick those program with longer online history to avoid this kind of situation.

    Okay, your pity is supported. It's truly unethical to cancel a program with students still in the pipeline. Sure, stop taking further admissions, but it's patently unfair not to teach out the students you currently have.

    Actually TAMUC arranged for those who have just a few courses left to finish the program. As for those who just started like me, they told us to transfer to other online MBA programs in other institutions. No much we can do. I guess most of the students are local students. Only a few like me are fully online students.
