Last week I got my unofficail eval done. It definately had some issues with it. First off, it was confusing and I think there were some typos. 2 classes which I had specifically took in a previous RA ACCREDITED school where left off. It said I needed College Algebra and Managerial Finance, but I already took these classes(btw they accepted all the other classes from the shcool, so I know it is not a school issue.) Maybe it is just an oversight that will get fixed upon enrollement. Which brings me to my next topic.

I faxed over my enrollment form on Monday and they never got it. I faxed it over this morning and they finally received, although it was not in their system yet. They said it could take 6 - 8 weeks to get my official eval done!! Bummer-ville. I was hoping I could talk to somebody this week. I have several questions that I can't ask yet and I am biting at the bit. I want to graduate by the end of the year. I have 64 credits now. I am going for a BS in general accounting.

Well here some questions for all of you expert distance learnings(from MR ROOKIE):

    1) I thought that HR Management and Organizational Behavior were pretty much the same thing, but maybe not. I have HR Management, do I still need ORG BEHAVIOR?

    2) Do all of my upper level accounting classes have to be taken as DL courses(int acct 1 & 2, cost acc, tax acc, adv acct)? I think I saw that TECEP has an exam for tax acct. How do you take a TECEP exam?

    3) Have any of you had experience with taking classes from either Athabasca U or Louisianna State U? That looks like my cheapest route to acct DL courses. How long does it take?

Anyway I am sure I will have many more questions ahead.

Thanks for all of your help so far. You guys rock!!

    Hello,

I am going for a BS business degree at Excelsior also. I have not signed up yet, but I think I am going ahead and doing that next month because it looks like I would graduate this summer. Right now I have 108 hrs. Yes HRM and Organizational Behavior are two different classes. But only Oranizational Behavior is required for the core part.

For the finance class you took what was it called at the school you orginally took it at?

    O yeah,

Also for classes, I saw Lousiana independent study. Which is really cheap for $210 per course. I plan to take a history class there shortly.

Another college which as accounting courses for about
$300 are College of Dupage http://www.cod.edu/Online/OnCourse.htm

That's what they officially have to say to everyone. And a couple of years ago, they were taking that long.

Lately, though, they've been evaluating new transcripts of enrolled students about one week after they receive the transcript.

It may be different for the first evaluation of a new student. Please let us know how long it actually takes.

It took me about 12 days to get mine done.

  6. Assuming you're not near TESC you need to find a local accredited college or university or public library that will proctor the exam.

Check out the following link for official info:
