I have come across this website searching for college information and have really enjoyed what I have learned this far.

I currently am attending UofP, I am in my 3rd class and have already submitted my withdraw after the completion of this class. I do not enjoy the 5 out 7 days participation guidlines & the team papers. In my current class, me and 1 other student have gotten stuck with the 2200 word team paper and a 25 minute PP presentation, all of the rest of the team members dropped the class.

My civlian occupation requires me to travel very frequently and many times I have to travel to Spain, this causes issues with required posting per week and specific log on per day rules.

I served 10 years in the Navy & now enlisted in the AF Reserves. UofP is the only college that I have attended at this time. My desire is to complete my college degree but need advice on college choices.

I am very interested in Excelsior & COTC. I have also talked with Capella, Bellevue and St. Leo.

I do receive the GI Bill for college & a kicker from the reserves for attending college.

I am just looking for advice from fellow college students and graduates that could lead me in the correct direction.

    creid,

I'm only in the 2nd class of my Bellevue University Business Information Systems program, but I have really enjoyed it so far. You have to have a certain number of responses posted to each discussion board, but there are no mandatory days/times. Also, I'm not sure about any of the other programs at Bellevue, but the BIS is mainly individual work. Out of the 10 classes in the program, our group assignments would probably total around 15 percent of the work.

On a related note, we have a few ex UoP students that have transferred to Bellevue because of the group work stuff, plus it's a little cheaper. At any rate, I hope you find what you're looking for.

I've talked to U or P extensively and I can't get by two things, the price of classes and the cohort thing. I want to be graded on my work, not how well I carry others. They admitted to me it was sometime a problem. Also, while I guess you can get through their programs quickly, I don't see how I can devote the time of 5 days out of 7 to posting plus do large projects and work full time. I think you should check out Excelsior and COSC. It may work much better for you to get a BS or BA out of the way.
