Note I am an undergrad, presently a student of CU (Colorado University) In conjunction with my previous thread, I am in search of an online university with these qualifications:

    1) Regionally Accredited
    2) PREFERABLY a 'write-your-own' curriculum format
    3) A university which will appear either sufficient or preeminent to bioscience departments for graduate school. If anyone can treat this concern directly, presume that academic performance is very good or superlative. If someone is familiar with economics departments as well this would be helpful.

Notice that without more infomation this last qualification reduces to that (well-trodden?) question: how do graduate schools tend to view online degrees?

    4) Well-qualified professors
    5) Stable for the next three years (?!?)
    6) A good reputation

I am currently looking at Union University (tui.edu). From what I have read lately on this forum, tui may lack at least 5 and I am totally uncertain about 3. I have also looked briefly at Thomas Edison University.

    Any suggestions?

What level are you looking at, I think you mean undergrad, but it was not clear?

    IMHO these two:
are probably mutually exclusionary at this time.

I would also take your statements to mean DL programs. If so you are proably looking at a foreign school in the UK, SA, or OZ.

You're right, I should have clarified. I am indeed in search of a full-degree undergraduate program (bs or ba), and a DL one at that (perhaps the term online is misleading or inaccurate).

As for UL programs being primarily general studies, I have found a fountain of bachelor degree programs in health science (as Anthony mentioned), criminal justice and IT especially. Of course nothing to suit my interest. Liberal studies (AA degrees for instance) may of course dominate.

As for the recommendation to seek out foreign schools, this is intriguing. Could you elaborate more on the reputation of foreign schools, either in the sciences or generally? What schools in particular come to your mind?

I'm also curious to know why you think self-designed studies and a reputable and possible attractive degree do not intersect. In particular what's your take on tui.edu?
