After long waiting and disappointment I withdrew my application to UNISA. Although the cost and course work fit my needs the customer service and response time was not at all desirable. I put in my application early January and still I have not heard anything from them. I allied myself with some individuals and they even had a hard time retrieving a response. Now I am back in the same situation. I am now looking for the following. Any and all help will be appreciated. 1. PhD / DBA / DBL from a ratable school anywhere. 2. I prefer research only degree. 3. Distant Learning with NO or maybe one visit to site. 4. Least expensive like South Africa. 5. Challenging. Regards, to
Ncavac, You didn't mention what your area of interest is. There are many members of this forum that are or have completed PhDs through non-traditional methods that might be able to point out specific colleges or universities that would interest you. I don't think you will find a doctoral program that requires no visits to the school, however.
Northcentral University: Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration http://www.ncu.edu/university_information/degree_program_details.asp?degree_program_id=20 In case you don't know, Northcentral is a private, regionally accredited university based in Arizona. You say you want "cheap" tution. Well, in my humble opinion, cheap is very subjective. Northcentral's rates are comparable to other private colleges & universities. Take a look at the latest tuition and fees here: http://www.ncu.edu/faq/default.asp?faq_category=Tuition,%20Payment%20Plans,%20Financial%20Aid No residency is required.
{1,2,4,5} I suggest you to see Universiti Tun Abdul Razak, offer Doctor of Philosophy (Management) by Research . The program can complete in 2 years and also Full Programme Fee 4,736.85 USD only. {3}Distant Learning with NO or maybe one visit to site. I doctoral level, especially PhD in Business management, many course I know required more than one time visit. Goodluck
I'm forgot another interesting one. The Durban Institute of Technology (DIT) offer DTech in Business administration. I hope someone on this board who attend that program will later comment.
