Translation portfolio credits

My transcripts all arrived at Excelsior and my evaluation is done, they basically took all my credits except one freshman orientation, I have contacted NYU for the language exam and am on the march with that. Thank you all again for all the help you gave.

My question now is after getting advice to go the portfolio route for credits I was wondering how would I go about doing a portfolio for translation? I mean after finding a course would I actually bring samples of my translations (books, articles, ect.) in the original language and the translation? I also have many lectures and conferences that I did live interpretations and are recorded, so would I add these to the portfolio? I have read the beneficial articles on the site for the portfolio assesment just curious now as to how much I will need to present.

If your book translations have been published, that's excellent evidence. I'd say submit one book and a bibliography of the others.

Likewise, one video and a list of other appearances.

Remember, you have to show that you've mastered the theoretical as well as the practical aspects of the courses. Your letters of reference, and your own discourse on the course syllabuses (including textbooks you've read, etc.), will be the key there.
