I am just wondering what people on here think about the NYIT online MBA? Was anybody on here through the program? Is it worth the $24000 USD + books($1000-$1500)?

I sent in my application and transcript to NYIT and I was told that I would not have to take any pre req courses even though I am not a business major. I was also told that the 36 credit MBA can be completed in 1 year if you take 2 courses per term. So right know I am really liking the NYIT MBA except the price. However I am in Toronto and NYIT is pretty well know here and I think that Is also very important when looking for a new job.

    Alittle help maybe!

    HELLO BO,

I admit I dont know much about the mba program but I do know a few things you should check for. One thing that every one on this board checks for is to see if its regionally accredtited (always check) secondly is it accredited by AACSB. This accreditation seems to be very important if you want teach classes some day or be a professor at a college or university. I have heard that you may want to make sure that the school's program includes an dissertation as part of the mba program it helps with admittance into doctorate school(Although you can get into a phd program with MBA program without one). As I said I dont know much the mba programs as I am still researching them but if it has those few things I think the nyit may be a good program.

    Hi

I haven't heard of NYIT before. Looking at their web page they are RA, but the business school doesn't appear to have any additional accreditation. My personal preference would be for the NYU program followed by any of the state universities. Any schools located near to where you live would gain additional value. In any event good luck in continuing your education.
