O.K. For all of you folks who wonder what Charter Oak does with the Clep, Dantes, ACE Rec Military credits, two different GRE's, transfers from Community College (I have never been to a class above CC level), Excelsior etc. And, what the evaluation really looks like, Here is mine, sans the personal info. As you can see, I did well on the Psych GRE, barely passed the Lit GRE. However, the scores are reported but the credits are all the same. They also drop gre credit for the basic psych corse so if you are taking the GRE, skip the basic psych unless you need it for test prep. This also gives one an idea of their credit source subordination process. Classes are more important than tests. I hope that this will help those who are wondering about COSC and how they assess credits. Please DO NOT use this as a "You did it for him, do it for me!" tool. If you do, you are a really, really naughty person, tisk, tisk. Hope this helps
And the next page here's page two. Sorry but the board doesn't let me send a very high quality image, hope this is readable.
That first one is unreadable. Sorry, the board limits are at 50.kb and I don't think I can get a better image through. Sorry. Worth a try. any suggestions?
Thanks a whole lot! a coworker of mine is awaiting her's and I will share this with her in the Interim. She was a Telephone System Maintenance Technician in the Army...I am anxious to see how her MOS will grade out. Regards Mike
"Aaaaarmy Training, Sir!" The ACE transcripted army AARTS credits for basic combat training was four in four seperate disciplines. COSC only gave me one. They gave me a full six credits for my radio school stuff. (although I went through Satellite communications, IMC and a couple of other courses that didn't make it to the transcript. (guess twenty years is a long time. My total credits earned were around 146. That's the breaks though. I couldn't be much happier with them. They have consistantly done right by me in every way.
Now I'm just more confused... It looks like they gave you letter grade credit for your ECEs. I was under the impression that COSC didn't issue grades for ECEs, but rather treated them as pass/fail. DJ
Image quality If you like, you can fax it to me at (413) 647-6850. I have eFax, so I'll receive it as a TIFF file as an email attachment. I'll convert it to Acrobat/PDF and put it up on my web site for people to see. FYI: It will only take me a few minutes to do, but it will be about 1am GMT before I can do it. (That's real GMT, not DegreeInfo's Bizarro World GMT.) -=Steve=-
