    The US Department of Education and The National Science Foundation have created an International Database for review of foreign credentials and credit evaluations.

    You may use this site to verify legitimate educational systems and institutions. It also provides a reference to the academic level of the study provided by the institutions in relationship to the United States educational system.

    http://www.nsf.gov/sbe/srs/mapping/ is the top page of that database. It's interesting! I looked for Berne on the pages for St. Kitts but didn't see it. Then again, I didn't see any of the Caribbean medical schools and they're "for real".

    In other words, it's not complete -- they seem to have moved forward with whatever data was available. They also list Richard Riley as Education Secretary, and he was in the Clinton Administration.
