I have been looking into online universities for a Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management, but have found very few on-line universities that provide that major. I found one called Baker University located in Michigan... have anyone ever heard of Baker University or is anyone currently taking classes there? Does anyone have any suggestions for an online university that offers Human Resource Bachelors Degrees? Thanks for any suggestions. www.bakercollegeonline.com
Baker College is a very legitimate RA school. I believe there is/was a phony school called Baker University. Indiana State University offers a Bachelor's completion program in Human Resource Development. University of Maryland-University College offers an undergrad program in Human Resource Management. Upper Iowa University offers a undergrad program in Human Resources Management.
The schools Bruce has suggested (all of them good choices) are among the eight degree programs in Human Resource Management listed on my Web site, Distance Learning Business Degrees. The site lists approximately 200 undergraduate business programs offered entirely via distance education by regionally accredited US-based schools, and it is possible that several other programs that do not specifically list themselves as Human Resource Management could be tailored as such via some kind of specialization or concentration. Links are provided to the schools, the distance learning Web pages, the programs, and even to tuition information. Just click on the link below my name.
This old thread here http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?=&threadid=23400 is devoted to the subject of bachelor's degrees in human resources. And, yes, as you've already been apprised, Baker College is a very legit RA school in Michigan.
Excelsior College: BS, Management of Human Resources Excelsior College offer a BS in Management of Human Resources. There is no residency requirement aside from an information literacy course so all coursework can be completed externally and transferred into the degree.
Hi jenn - Like Bruce, I'm working from memory. I think you'll find a Bachelors degree program in HR at Bellevue University (Washington?).
my friend goes to baker B&M in Michigan, he likes it there but he said the staff isn't the greatest. I guess they hire a lot of people with experience in the field but none in the classroom, and baker in MI is kind of looked down upon because people say that they give As for showing up and stuff similar to what they say about U of Phoenix but then again this is the B&M school not the online one BUT this is all hearsay. I am by any means putting down the school of trying to discredit them but this is just what I heard.
