    Here is one,

I owe 35 K in student loans. I now have to pay out of my pocket for school because it states ( financial aid) that I have to take 6 hours a semester. Two Phd courses and working two jobs does not equate to a good scenario. For those of you who are financial aid whizzes, I am ALL EARS!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Help for the weary!

I assumed you are weary, you must be, after all that work and school.

well here are my "suggestions" for what they are worth, (and i'm sorry if you've already tried them but I didn't know).

sidenote: most parents and students simply take out loans because it's the "easiest" way to just get started going to class and not worry about financial aid red tape. Now, I know you're (all) busy, but it is going to take a lot MORE time to work to pay off loans than it will to dig for more scholarship $$$$....

    1. Check with both your jobs to see about tuition reimbursement. If not, can you get with a company who offers it? Fortune magazine has a list of top 100 co's to work for....

    2. Check your state's Dept of Education (they may call it something different) to see if they offer any special scholarships for your degree programs...my state even offers some loan forgiveness programs

3.It would appear you have a need to work 2 jobs, have you completed your FAFSA each year for all eligible gov't aid...? Can you not take 6 hours of classes (one tough one & one slider?)

    4. Not sure exactly what your degree plans are, but if you're headed for teaching look here about loan forgiveness:
    http://studentaid.ed.gov/PORTALSWebApp/students/english/cancelperk.jsp?tab=repaying#content

    5. Read up on other government programs for loan cancellation (assuming your loans are not all private!)
sorry for long URL, also see www.studentaid.ed.gov/ and do a search for 'loan cancel' or 'loan forgiveness'

    6. Apply for more scholarships... www.finaid.org, www.Freshinfo.com, others that offer free searches

Good luck. You can do it. You're amazing.
